Position Overview:

Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, including croissants, cookies, bread, according to recipes and quality standards
Measure and mix ingredients, knead dough, shape pastries, and monitor baking times to ensure consistent results.
Utilize proper techniques for laminating dough, proofing, and baking to achieve desired texture and flavor.
Decorate and finish pastries with precision, including glazing, icing, and garnishing as required
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment, including routine cleaning and sanitation tasks
Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies and communicate with management for ordering as needed
Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times, ensuring compliance with health department standards.
Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes, improve existing products, and contribute to menu development.
Provide exceptional customer service, including engaging with customers, answering inquiries, and addressing any concerns or special requests

Qualifications:

A degree or certification in Baking and Pastry Arts from an accredited culinary institution is preferred.
Proven experience as a Baker specializing in croissants, cookies, bread, cinnamon rolls, and beignets, preferably in a highvolume bakery or pastry shop
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, including dough preparation, shaping, proofing, and baking
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace
Creativity and innovation in recipe development and pastry presentation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customerfocused attitude
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
