The PurchasingAgent is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, andequipment for the company.Duties includenegotiating deals with suppliers, researching possible itemselections, taking inventory of current products and collectingmultiple quotes from competingcompanies.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Developan effective and accurate system for monitoring purchaseorders.
  
• Shop,order, and track the purchasing of equipment and supplies needed inthecompany.
  
• Deliverweekly purchase order report to supervisors that indicate theinvoice numbers for all closedorders.
  
• Ensureall deliveries satisfy assigned orders and report any back orderedor missingproducts.
  

Requirements

• MicrosoftOffice Suite to include Excel andOutlook.
  
• Strongcommunicator with supervisors, coworkers, customers andsuppliers.
  
• Excellentnegotiation skills to obtain the bestpricing.
  
• Priorpurchasing experiencerequired.
  
• Minimum3 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing, construction, ordistributionenvironment.
  
• Mustbe able to move throughout the shipping and receiving departmentand/or an open-airwarehouse.
  
• Mustbe able to lift to 15 pounds attimes.
  

A minimum of 5 10 years material handling or pallet rack experienceisrequired.

Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel and Outlook. Strongcommunicator with supervisors, coworkers, customers and suppliers.Excellent negotiation skills to obtain the best pricing. Priorpurchasing experience required. Minimum 3 years purchasingexperience in a manufacturing, construction, or distributionenvironment.
