    Description

    JobSummary

    Provides remoteconsultative and supportive nursing care to Intensive Care Units(ICU) to multiple medical centers utilizing in room camera and EPICtechnology from a remote, centralized hub. Collaborates with ICUdoctors and nurses provide timely intervention for critically illpatients to achieve optimal patientoutcomes.

    EssentialResponsibilities

    • Performs video monitoring andassessment of ICU patient data. Performs safety rounding of ICUpatient rooms. Collaborates with the ICU doctor located in theremote hub to ensure timely consultation and intervention on ICUpatients requiring immediateintervention.
    • Responds to request by ICU RNsfor nursing care consultation on ICU patients. Works remotely withbedside nurses in providing real time, clinical decision supportfor ICU patients with conditions requiring immediate attention suchas physiologic changes resulting from actions or inactions of thecare team during evening and nightshifts.
    • Collaborates in continuous performanceimprovement activities with remote interprofessional teams itoachieve optimal patient and family outcomes. Leverages technologyin gathering and evaluating quality metrics as a means to measureand report on patients data. Reviews critical care qualitymetrics.

    Experience

    BasicQualifications:

    • Five (5) years minimum experienceworking in Intensive Care Units (ICU)
    • One (1)year of Quality RN experience, ICU supervisory or Clinical NurseSpecialist specializing in Critical Care.

    Education

    • Bachelors degree in nursing, businessadministration, economics, health care administration, operationresearch, public health administration, or other relatedfield.

    License,Certification, Registration

    • Critical Care Registered NurseCertificate within 12 months of hire OR Critical-Care RegisteredNurse (Tele-ICU) - Adult (AACN) within 12 months of hire ORCritical-Care Registered Nurse Knowledge Professional - Pediatric(AACN) within 12 months of hire OR Critical-Care Registered NurseKnowledge Professional - Neonatal (AACN) within 12 months of hireOR Critical-Care Registered Nurse Knowledge Professional - Adult(AACN) within 12 months of hire
    • RegisteredNurse License (California)

    AdditionalRequirements

    • Must be able to work in aLabor/Management Partnership environment.

    PreferredQualifications

    • Masters degree in Nursing or relatedfield.
