    Description

    We are looking for a Digital Control System for one of our clients with the following details:

    Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

    Start Date: 1st April 2026

    Contract Duration: 4 months

    Qualification and Experience Required:

  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 10 years of post-graduation experience is required, with at least 5 years of this experience being specifically in the field of HV substations and OHL.
  • Candidates must have expertise in dealing with power utilities, preferably in the GCC region.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is mandatory.
  • Adequate knowledge of international standards is essential.
  • Must have a good understanding of information systems.
  • Prior experience in an Owner or Owner Engineering role is required.
  • Experience with GCCIA, SEC or TRANSCO is mandatory.

  • Expertise in Site Supervision.

  • Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise site work to ensure compliance with GCC specifications, relevant standards, and overall quality maintenance.
  • Monitor and control various site activities related to SCADA works and stringing, ensuring adherence to approved methods, specifications, and timelines. Provide advice to contractors and the owner engineer on necessary corrective measures.
  • Oversee site safety, health, and environmental aspects regularly to ensure a safe, environmentally friendly site environment with zero man-hour loss.
  • Assist with interface requirements between the Head Office and sub-consultants.
  • Review and monitor the implementation of safety systems and procedures by contractors and the owner engineer across project sites.
  • Participate in Site Technical Coordination Meetings to discuss submissions, shop drawings, and construction-related issues with contractors and the owner engineer.
  • Assist in organizing site meetings to plan activities, assess progress, evaluate risks, and resolve issues.
  • Assist with material inspection, shipping clearance, and review of shipping documents, Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, etc.
  • Maintain records of site activities, progress, non-conformities, remedial actions, follow-up history, near-miss cases, lessons learned, and interface cases at the site level.
  • This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented SCADA Engineer who can effectively manage multiple tasks while ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met.
