    Description
    The Role
    • Support theHead of Construction on the daytoday tasks. Reviews client RFPs andrequirements works out designs (with consultant support as needed)and preparing detailed design timelines and Bill of Materials whenrequired for execution. Provide support for procurement departmentfor material selection throughout all procurement process. Supportsestimation for new projects during the bidding process. Provideinput to develop the Project Schedule. Manages technicalcoordination meetings with clients contractors and utilityproviders. Prepares and reviews preconstruction documentationincluding shop drawings material submittal s method statementsQuality Plan HSE plans and Commissioning Plan Reviews projectsprogress including project schedule and quality control/ auditing.Oversees all projects activities in various locations worldwide.Contributes to the commercial success of projects supporting thecommercial team in the valuation of works incorporating changemanagement and claims. Stands in for the Head of Constructionduring his absence and leads the PMO team during thesetimes.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil)10 years experience preferably involved in giving support to theproject managers site team and other departments. Minimum 10 yearsof Lead Engineering experience (Project Management experience isdesirable) Thorough understanding of Electrical / Mechanical /Civil standard engineering principles Must be familiar withAmerican BS and International standards and codes. Experience inremote location construction including sizing of island modeinstallations is an advantage. Good Knowledge of construction/engineering (Civil & Mechanical experience is an advantage)Excellent communication negotiation skills and technical writingskills Accurate administration skills to competently manage theproject post contract process and requirements. Planningorganizational and interpersonal skills to ensure the timelycollation of information and delivery of the document to theclient. Ability to work on own initiative and with the minimumsupervision required. Flexibility with regards to working acrossall areas of the business and as and when the work demands (abilityto travel to different countries) Fluent in English French is anadvantage. Disciplinespecific professional registration preferred.High degree of personal motivation
