- Makehigh-level decisions about policy andstrategy.
- Report to the board of directors andkeep them informed.
- Develop and implementoperational policies and a strategic plan.
- Actas the primary spokesperson for thecompany.

- Help withrecruiting new staff members whennecessary.
- Create an environment that promotesgreat performance and positive morale.
- Overseethe company's fiscal activity, including budgeting,reporting, and auditing.
- Work with seniorstakeholders, chief financial officer, chief information officer,and other executives.
- Assure all legal andregulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws andregulations.
- Work with the executive board todetermine values and mission, and plan for short and long-termgoals.
- Identify and address problems andopportunities for the company.
- Build alliancesand partnerships with otherorganizations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operationof the company.
- Work closely with the humanresource department to ensure greathiring.
