- Apply expert knowledge of tax compliance requirements and procedures in GCC and Egypt
- Prepare local tax compliance filings, including VAT, Corporate Income Tax, and withholding tax, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
- Experience in applying advanced tax data reconciliation and validation techniques, reviewing VAT General Ledger accounts to ensure alignment with tax returns.
- Proactively and expertly identify potential tax compliance issues and red flags, presenting practical solutions and recommendations.
- Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring and analyzing new tax legislation, regulations, and judicial decisions, assessing their impact on company operations and finances.
- Provide adept tax advice and on-demand support for various service lines, business projects, and products in the region.
- Manage external tax notices, audits and court cases initiated by external authorities, lead discussions with consultants independently, recommending courses of action/remediation through to conclusion.
- Ensure compliance concerns (rules and regulations of regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures) are being appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved by identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and providing prevention methods and ideas.
- Maintain the relationships with the group's tax team, advisors, and tax authorities professionally and efficiently, ensuring that CFO is regularly informed of the tax compliance operation and progress of compliance activities and results and compliance issues by providing report analysis.
- Work with and support the finance team on accruals, DTA/DTL, penalties, and others.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field.
- Progressive tax experience in the Middle East and Africa.
- Expertise in tax compliance procedures.
- Ability to independently conduct international tax analysis and derive insightful conclusions.
- Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments, showcasing adaptability and quick problem-solving skills.
- Great attention to detail aiding precise and accurate tax compliance.
- Strong team player with integrity and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Knowledge of international taxation laws and regulations is a plus.
- Strong professional financial/accounting knowledge and expertise.
- Energetic, Mature, proactive, resourceful, and hands-on with good initiative.
- Excellent written and spoken professional English skills. The Arabic language is a plus.
