Core to the business activities of the Company, within our Project Cargo team, you will ensure the overall business development of the market you are in charge of, in order to optimize the Line profitability and vessel loading.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Align with Trade Management on space and pricing guidelines and own the subsequent pricing and uptake responsibility of special cargo.
  • Develop a Special Cargo sales approach to enable effective teamwork between operational teams and regional/local sales teams
  • Build an "untapped potential" unique cargo strategy that allows precise and surgical targeting of unique cargo markets and customers, ensuring close alignment of strategy with the global niche product strategy of CMA CGM Group.
  • Build relationships with specific key customers to ensure focus on both market development and adjustment of SOP's.
  • Advise special cargo team in Head Office in France and Network & Corporation on improvements to joint working procedures with alliance partners.
  • Implement efficient SOP's for the handling of standard special cargo across OPS, Trade Management, Sales & Customer Service in close alignment with the Project Cargo Division Team in HO.
  • Leading the teams/agencies which are providing operational guidance, rate quotes, marketing information, and strategy for special cargo.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:


You have a postgraduate degree (+4/5 years) in International Trade, Logistics, or Transport and a 5 years minimum experience in a shipping business position with at least 2 years in OOG/BBK cargo.

You are proactive, you are perfectly fluent in English, French or Arabic speaking is a plus, with a very good command of Office and computer tools.

You are influential and have good interpersonal skills, which will enable you to succeed in your position.
