    Our client is currently seeking aPrincipal Engineer (Safety Analysis Engineer andR&D Lead) for its office in Pittsburgh, PA .The successful candidate will be responsible for performingconsulting engineering services as well as leading R&Dprojects for the firm. This mayinclude:

    • Technicalproblem solving
    • Leadassigned R&D project and/or analyticalactivities
    • Evaluation model andmethods development
    • Softwaredevelopment and validationtasks
    • Support company growthstrategy and businessdevelopment

    Tasks will bevaried and may change frequently based on the needs of currentclients. The employee will be responsible for providing bothwritten and oral reports to fellow employees and clients.Specifically, our client is looking for an individual that candevelop a high degree of ownership on the projects assigned withthe ability to manage activities along the project cycle, fromproposal stage, execution, communication with customers, deliveryand follow-up. This includes the ability to coordinate activitiesacross the project team.

    With ourclient being a small company, the individual selected will have theopportunity to make a significant impact immediately. They provideservices to several relevant advanced reactor developers as well assupporting the operating fleet. This provides the team exposure toa variety of cutting-edge technologies and customers in the nuclearenergylandscape.


    Requirements

    JobRequirements:

    • ABS Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering, Chemical, Electrical Engineer(with Utility plant experience) or a similarfield
    • Must be highlymotivated and capable of working well both alone and in ateam
    • Must possess excellent writtenand oral communication skills
    • Mustbe highly proficient with computers, familiarity with Linux andprogramming desired
    • Experience withcomputational Thermal-Hydraulics desired, and knowledgeable ofindustry systems codes
    • Coding orscripting experience ispreferred
    • Experience with powerplant systems ispreferred
    • 40 Hours/Week,Mon-Fri - Remote Work/ Work From Home Availability(in-office availability asrequired)
