- 0-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a consulting environment with strong vegetation identification skills
- Diploma or Certificate in Ecology, Biology, Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Arboriculture or equivalent education
- Credentials as an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist or ability to acquire ISA certification within 3 months of employment
- ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) and Canadian Inspector of Sediment and Erosion and Control (CISEC) certifications considered an asset
- Experience completing surveys using traditional survey methods and real-time kinematic (RTK) global positioning system (GPS) units
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to exercise good judgment
- Meticulous, proficient with electronic data collection and ability to provide accurate field and data records
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/plans
- Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills to balance multiple tasks and meet ambitious deadlines
- Comfortable working for extended durations throughout all seasons, during inclement/adverse weather conditions, and on or near
- Possess a valid driver's license
