What youll bedoing

TheStrategic Procurement Buyer is responsible for creating and drivingstrategic sourcing for a group of spend categories within theChalhoub Group and its Joint Venture affiliates. A Strategicbusiness partner interfacing at the Executive Committee level ofthe company with the ability to understand stakeholder needs anddrive results. Collaboration with multiple Business Units to secureoptimal purchasing opportunities is critical to the success of thisrole. Provide expertise to business leaders in planning andimplementing Procurement strategies to achieve business goals andobjectives. This position is also responsible for putting togethera centralized procurement team with emphasis on category managementcapabilities. There is a need to identify and implement aProcurement Control Tower system at group level creating endtoendvisibility on purchase activity and data ensuring robust levels ofcontrol are in place whilst minimizing risks to eectively managespend. Continuous improvement of procurement processes throughoutthe Chalhoub Group are to be practiced.

Key Responsibilities

Lead creation and implementation of sourcing and demandmanagement strategies for assigned categories of spend manage thedevelopment of RFP materials detailed analysis of proposals andvendor capabilities negotiations and supplier selection as well asperform player/coach for sta to produce the same results for theirrespective areas. Leverage key metrics to identify problem areasand adopt current and emerging business models with anentrepreneurial mindset and creative approach to drive bestpractice.

Lead and coach a team responsible tostrategically partner with business unit leaders and contribute tobrand strategy by providing procurement expertise and strategicpartnering for purchasing opportunities. Counsel business unitleaders regarding purchasing processes technology capabilities andpolicies to assist in the procurement lifecycle.

Build and manage relationships with priority businessexecutives serves as a key member of the business unit leadershipteam to support implementation of business strategies throughadvanced procurement initiatives and team alignment. Facilitate theentire sourcing process and closely collaborate with thestakeholders to select and award business to suppliers.Demonstrates a strategic business mindset organizational savvypresents an executivelevel presence and balances multiplestakeholder interests simultaneously.

Createdrive and mentor sta in longterm strategic planning eorts forassigned sourcing categories including advanced multiyear categorystrategies designed to anticipate enterprisewide requirements whileoptimizing forecasted shifts in both supply markets industry trendsand supplier economic cycles.

Lead thedevelopment and negotiation of contracts with new suppliers and/orrenegotiate existing contracts to accomplish lowest total systemcost and savings objectives as well as perform player/coach for stato produce the same results for their respective areas

What youll need to succeed

A Bachelors degree in Supply Chain or any equivalentprinciple

3 Years experience in handlingTechnology Category Procurement in a matrix organization

3 Years experience in Sourcing Tendering Procurement andImplementation of solutions in the technology category
