Role Overview:

As a Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing our Risk Management system in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Central Bank of UAE.

Your primary responsibility will be to identify, assess, monitor, control, report, and mitigate all material risks faced by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Identification and Assessment:

Identify all reasonably foreseeable and relevant material risks, including those associated with new activities, products, and strategic affairs.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of risks and their interdependencies using appropriate tools and techniques.
Incorporate stress testing results to assess the resilience of the company's balance sheet against severe but plausible stresses.

Risk Monitoring and Mitigation:

Develop early warning indicators to enable prompt responses to identified material risks.
Implement strategies and tools to mitigate risks and ensure they are within the company's Risk Appetite and Limits.
Cease or change activities if risks cannot be adequately mitigated or controlled.

Risk Reporting and Policies:

Prepare qualitative and quantitative reports on risks and assessments for the Board, including ORSA, along with effective action plans.
Ensure Risk Management policies enable staff to understand their risk responsibilities and outline how relevant material risks are managed.
Conduct ongoing communication and training on risk policies.

Coordination and Compliance:

Foster a strong Risk Management and compliance culture across the organization and coordinate with entities to ensure overall effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with the Risk Appetite statement and regulatory requirements, including monitoring compliance with Risk Limits.

Risk Management Function Oversight:

Provide risk analysis and performance reviews to the Board and Senior Management.
Identify, assess, monitor, and report on individual and aggregated risks faced by the company.
Maintain an aggregated view of the Risk Profile of the company on an entity and/or Groupwide basis.
Evaluate the internal and external risk environment on an ongoing basis and recommend necessary mitigation actions.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM) is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Risk Management in the UAE.
Indepth knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices, especially those set forth by the Central Bank of UAE.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex risk concepts effectively.
Proven leadership abilities with experience in overseeing Risk Management functions and driving a culture of compliance.
