- Champion the Project Safetyculture, behaviors and engagementactivities.
- Able to lead a team of HSEprofessionals such as Lead HSE Engineers, Sr.HSE officers. HSEofficers etc.
- Sound understanding of the HSEManagement System and HSE legislativerequirements
- Broad knowledge and experience inrisk assessments and audit processes
- Able todevelop and implement annual HSEplans
- Competency in PTW system and gastesting
- Awareness in H2S and Breathingapparatus
- Ability to analyze incidents andapply root cause analysis techniques
- Ability todevelop Emergency responseprocedures/plans
- Ability to speak, read andwrite English with good communicationskills
- Efficient in interpersonal and verbal& written communicationskills
- Identifying, evaluating, and resolvingHSE issues during the EPC phase of theworks.
- Coordinating comprehensive and effectiveHSE input and review during EPC phase.
- Ensuringeffective design HSE management processes that meet bothlegal/regulatory requirements and Owner's standards forEngineering work.
- Ensuring the execution ofProject-specific Construction HSE plan/program based onOwner's expectations.
- Ensuring thatall invitations to Tender include the HSE standards for potentialSubcontractors as referenced at the relevant general conditions ofContract.
- Ensuring that Project emergencymedical evacuation arrangements are in place, Project emergencyresponse plans are complete, and current and emergency responsedrills are conducted on a regularbasis.
- Participating consistently in ongoingHSSEQ performance and progressreviews
- Addressing Contractor non-compliancewith HSSEQ requirements immediately andfirmly.
- Participating actively in onsite HSEinspections, safety committee meetings, Toolbox talk meetings,safety leadership training, incident investigations, QA/QCinternal/external Audits and pre-task planningsessions.
- Monitoring the timely implementationof corrective actions identified by HSSEQassessments.
- Actively monitoring the Project toidentify any unexpected subtasks or scope changes that involve thepotential for performing hazardous wasteservices.
- Ensuring the tracking andtransferring the status of appropriate HSSEQ activities (e.g.,obtaining permits incorporating permit conditions into the ProjectExecution Plan from the design team to the constructionteam.
- Monitoring changes in the Project scopeor design that may affect HSSEQ issues andactivities.
- Ensuring identification of HSSEQrequirements including design criteria, process systemsengineering, managing the environmental impact assessment (EIA)and/or assisting the Owner with environmental permitting andapprovals (as appropriate to thejob).
- Development and implementation of ProjectHSSE plans and procedures.
- Development andimplementation of HSSE training program for Construction phase ofthe works.
- Interface and coordination withOwner's Operations, Maintenance and HSSEmanagement.
- Manage Contractor conformance toProject HSSE requirements.
- Lead/participate inProject root cause investigations and communicate lessonslearned.
