About the role

Responsibilities:

Lead the transaction processing, payroll, monthly closing, project cost allocation, and VAT submission processes for multiple entities
Manage the audit process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for all entities and audits
Maintain and improve the control environment, including implementing and updating policies and procedures
Set up finance and accounting frameworks for new ventures, including bank accounts, VAT registration, chart of accounts, and system implementation
Prepare financial statements for all legal entities, including consolidations
Resolve complex accounting issues under IFRS, including writing accounting papers
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing and review
Oversee cashflow forecasting and budgeting
Manage and develop a team of accountants
Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure efficient financial operations and compliance
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
Lead corporate tax implementation for companies as appropriate

Requirements:

Qualified accountant with ACCA/CPA/CA certification
Proven experience in implementing accounting systems, chart of accounts, and reporting frameworks
Strong background in implementing policies and procedures
Solid experience in financial statement preparation for all legal entities, including consolidations
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment with new ventures
Skilled in resolving complex accounting issues under IFRS, including writing accounting papers
Proficient in cashflow forecasting and budgeting
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
High level of attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
Knowledge of relevant accounting software and systems
