    The project:

    We are hiring an ambitious and forwardthinking assistant planning manager to join our established and growing team in the region.

    • You will manage delivery from project inception/brief through design development and planning contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.

    • You will manage design and wider consultant teams in a collaborative manner to ensure effective completion of responsibilities.
    • You will lead and manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • You will actively network innovate and seek understanding of best practice utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace Group the Centres of Excellence Mace Way Control Centre and Knowledge Hub.

    Youll be responsible for:

    • Managing project budget and project resource allocation.
    • Providing progress reports as and when required.
    • Supervising the planning and implementation of the project.
    • Facilitating the definition of project scope and goals.
    • Defining project tasks and resource requirements.
    • Managing the delivery of identified capital projects with a focus on budget schedule and quality output.
    • Procuring (where appropriate) managing and directing a diverse range of consultant expertise across a multidisciplinary set of skills.
    • Overseeing the management of construction project design estimation and project planning including all relevant statutory processes procurement management and maintenance forecasting working closely with all departments/disciplines.
    • Managing the project control including resourcing and service delivery requirements ensuring consultant supervision was relevant and approving all payment certificates.
    • Managing the production and approval of project delivery plans contractor plans cash flow projections and payment claims.
    • Supervising the project closeout activities including commissioning and handover to operations and maintenance.

    Youll need to have:

    • Membership of RICS CIOB APM ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
    • Substantial experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes.
    • Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
    • Commercial and financial acumen.
    • Experience of leading parts of projects within large diverse teams.
    • Experience of developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
