- Undertaking responsibilitiesindependently or with minimal supervision with the expectation thatyou can oversee the work of graduate surveyors, asrequired.
- Being competent in the measurement ofquantities for input into cost models, cost plans, cost estimatesand bills of quantities using both traditional and digitalmethods.
- Having the ability to create areaschedules.
- Being proficient in the use ofestimating/billing software such asCostX.
- Preparing cost modelling andbenchmarking dashboards.
- Undertaking viabilitystudies and cost estimating throughout the design stages with anemphasis on cost control and design tobudget.
- Feeding into the rate database byundertaking market research where necessary to support the accuracyof estimating.
- Undertaking value engineeringstudies at key stages of the designdevelopment.
- Undertaking benchmarking ofprojects including cost and parametricelements.
- Being involved in the preparation ofthe documentation for tendering.
- Managing theanalysis of tender returns and preparation of tenderreports.
- Undertaking the valuation ofcontractor's monthly applications including measuredworks, preliminaries, materials on siteetc.
- Maintaining the change managementlog.
- Maintaining the monthly cost report andensuring that it reflects the latest status of theproject.
- Undertaking project cash flowreporting.
- Supporting the review/analysis ofquantum for contractors'claims.
- Assisting with agreeing on the finalaccount with providing input asrequired.
- Ensuring compliance with all QA/QCrequirements.
