- Accountable for defining logisticscategory and supplier strategy with stakeholders andcross-functional team, to meet deliverables and cost savingstargets.
- Understand supplier market dynamics/intelligence to use as input to logistics category strategiescreated.
- Drive supplier selection based onstrategy and given KPI's, build supplier base data andidentify new/emerging suppliers.
- Ensureinter-departmental alignment and drive activities based onsupply/demand changes.
- Own and drive regularbusiness review meetings with suppliers while maintainingrelationships.
- Obtain multiple sourcequalifications/ validations while putting category strategies inplace.
- Factor Total Cost of Ownership, costmodels and Value-in-use elements while building category strategiesto manage entire value chain complexities.
- Leadcontract and price negotiations with suppliers to maximize valuefor organization (leveraging commercial, specification and demandlevers)
- Secure T&Cs/contractingKPI's in the best interest of organization and based onbest practices in the industry.
- Oversee theplanning, execution, and optimization of product distribution,selecting appropriate transportation methods to maximize efficiencyand cost savings.
- Establish and monitor keyperformance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate logisticsperformance.
- Analyze data, prepare regularreports, and make data-driven decisions to improveoperations.
- Ensure all logistics operationscomply with industry regulations, safety standards, andenvironmental requirements.
- Ensure performanceaccording to contractual obligations and other commitments towards3PL's; Monitor and update logistics prices throughout theyear based on market dynamics.
- Focus onsupplier resilience and sustainability.
- Ensurethat category strategies promote economic development as per localrequirements.
