    Network Support SpecialistLocation: DubaiFull job descriptionISSS UK is currently seeking a dedicated Network Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team.

    This role is pivotal in providing technical support and expertise to our clients, end-users, and staff, ensuring robust and reliable network performance.


    Responsibilities:
    Assist with administration and operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to company policies and proceduresCoordinating and implementing network configuration and hardware upgradesTroubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN performance, connectivity and related network problemsNetwork monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problemsParticipate in the network team that handles day-to-day management of email security and end user cyber awareness trainingManage and maintain a large wireless infrastructure with other network team membersWork as a team member with other technical staff to ensure high-quality support services to end usersMaintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the networkDocument network problems and resolutions for future referenceOther duties as assignedAdditional responsibilities may include:Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resourceProvide on-the-job training to new department staff membersThe position of Network Support Specialist requires excellent problem-solving skills, and knowledge of administering and maintaining all the relevant technologies

    Requirements:
    Minimum of two years of network administration experience.
    Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts and hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities.
    Proficient in managing and configuring network devices, with a strong emphasis on Cisco products.
    Experience with managing firewalls and understanding of security best practices.
    Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot Cisco Call Manager and related VoIP services.
    Familiarity with managing and monitoring network circuits.
    Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and possess exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
    Experience with server management and monitoring tools.
    Knowledge of IP infrastructure, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.Cisco, Extreme, or Barracuda hardware experience is highly preferred.
