    The NurseAide provides resident/patient comfort and qualitynursing care in accordance with established policies and proceduresas directed by Staff Nurse, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, Director ofNursing, Assistant Director of Nursing or Administrator and assuresthat the highest degree of resident/patient care is maintained atalltimes.

    JOBREQUIREMENTS

    Duties andResponsibilities

    1.Answers resident/patient call lights and requests and provides acalm, clean and safe environment for ourresidents/patients.

    2.Immediately reports observations and/or abnormalities noticedduring care to the nursing supervisor, such as bruises, pressureareas, or any change in the resident/patientscondition.

    3.Routinely checks and provides necessary care to incontinentresidents/patients.

    4.Practice proper transfer and movement techniques according toprocedure to avoid discomf011 to the resident/patient and tomaintain employeesafety.

    5.Properly apply protective devices to prevent discomfort/injury tothe residents/patients. 6. Assists resident/patients withambulation to bathroom, activities,etc.

    7.Assist residents/patients with activities of daily living such asbathing, grooming, oralcare,

    repositioning,shaving, nail and hair care, and toileting according to properprocedure.

    8.Applies topical barrier creams as directed and designated by thefacility.

    9.Assists in serving residents/patients meals and feeding, asnecessary.

    10.Monitors and records resident/patients intake andoutput.

    11.Accompany residents/patients when being transported for treatmentoutside the facility when necessary. This may involve pushingresidents in awheelchair.

    12.Must perform daily charting and complete forms, reports, logs andrecords, asdirected.

    13.Must attend all mandatory in-service/training programs asscheduled. (Must attend 12 annually to maintain NAregistration.)

    14.Maintains quality resident/patient care and work operations byfollowing all facility policies andprocedures.

    15.Maintains confidentiality of all resident/patient and staffinformation.

    16.Ensures Resident Rights/Patient Rights areprotected.

    17.Must be able to work as part of a team in a respectful, positive,and cooperativemanner.

    18.Perform other tasks asdirected.

    Requirements

    MinimumEducation

    2+years experience of nursing assistant experience -preferred
