- You will collaborate withlocal business leaders (Business Development, Project Finance andConstruction) as well as with supporting areas (Finance, Admin,Accounting & HR) advising on legal risks, businessstrategies and other issues related to the Company'sbusinesses.
- Review all types of contractsincluding but not limited to: Distribution, franchise, contracting,project financing, IT etc..
- Supervise legal casesfiled by, and against the Group, review and comments on litigationmemos prepared by external counsels.
- Providelegal opinion about all existing and potential liabilities relatedto the Group's Court cases/disputes. Reviews, drafts andamends settlement agreements related to Disputes and otheragreements/contracts in Arabic andEnglish.
- Liaise with External lawyers and seekupdated on the Group'scases.
- Have good knowledge of theprocedures followed by the local authorities in relation to(without limitation): notarization of documents, registration ofcontracts, etc...
- Develop legal policies,plans and procedures such as templates contracts and otherstandardized documentation.
- Provide advice oncorporate compliance and governance with all statutory andgovernmental statutes and requirements in order to protect theGroup interests.
- Great experience in drafting allcorporate documents and POAs in both English andArabic.
- Excellent knowledgeof the UAE laws and regulations.
- Holder of law degree with amaster's in law.
- Minimum 10 years ofexperience out of which considerable experience as in-house LegalCounsel in a company (preferably family business) in theUAE.
- Good exposure in dealing with Seniormanagement and BOD.
- UAE experience inCorporate, commercial, Litigation andConstruction
- Bilingual (fluent in English& Arabic)
- Good interpersonal skills andstrong personality
