Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Inspect on a routine basis electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.
  • Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components, and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.
  • Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity.
  • Examine and track equipment faults, read technical drawings and catalogs, suggest appropriate treatment methods.
  • Review blueprints to understand the placement of wiring or to comprehend the working of the equipment to provide the right service and repairs.
  • Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and other electrical components, advising when certain components should be replaced due to potential risks.
  • Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered and used.
  • Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs.
  • Complete electrical work orders as well as preventative maintenance work orders when assigned by maintenance supervisor
  • Examine and track equipment faults, read technical drawings and catalogs, and suggest appropriate treatment methods
  • Ensure that all equipment is in good working order by conduction field inspection tours and writing the necessary reports
  • Optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to Preventive Maintenance schedules
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair high speed machinery and food manufacturing equipment.
  • Efficient production equipment set up, inspection and shutdown of all related equipment when required, including process changeovers
  • Read and interpret diagrams, blue prints, schematics and operation manuals
  • Maintain overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and reliability as well as continuously improving plant
  • Daily operation of planned and preventative maintenance, identifying the root cause of problems and
  • Respond to all issues reported by production management / operatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • BA Electrical Engineering
  • 35 years' experience in electrical maintenance or associated work in Food Manufacturing Industries
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
  • Good problemsolving skills.

From AED2,500.00 per month

  • Manufacturing: 3 years (preferred)
