Description

• Responsible for monitoring results and adjusting operations & activities to reach or exceed budgets and goals
• Obtain competitive inbound and outbound freight rates from Carriers and offices.
• Develop and implement effective Cost Control measures, ensure correct billing and invoicing, and timely payments to Carriers
• Lead and motivate the Operations Team to ensure levels of service meet or exceed customers' expectations and that all departments have a focus on continuous improvement
• Responsible for ontime and accurate reporting
• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
• Maintain the financial health of the organization.
• Develop trends and projections for the firm's finances.
• Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
• Manage the preparation of the company's budget.
• Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
• Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports.
• Oversee the operations and development of the company's finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
• Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Advice colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company's finances
• Supervise the documentation of the company's financial status and forecast.
• Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company's status and financial forecasts
