Purpose:

Tocarry out the development of the functional designs of a project inline with Companys Quality Standards Client and Statutory Authorityrequirements

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for all aspects of the ELV Design delivery onprojects assigned to the individual.
• Communicates and coordinates with all Disciplines and Stakeholdersdaily
• Excellent communication skills and theability to liaise with Clients Statutory Authorities and other 3rdparties as required
• Demonstrates ownershipqualities for the team quality and the timely delivery ofprojects
• Keeping all projectrelateddocumentation in compliance with Stantec systems processes andprocedures

Qualifications:

• Over 10 years of experience working within an International DesignFirm with a focus on Plumbing and Fire Protection Design. Minimumof five (5) within the Middle East region preferably theUAE
• A discipline specific design team leaderwith a demonstrable career progression with a Plumbing and FireProtection bias in the field of Building ServicesEngineering
• Excellent communicator both oraland written who can concisely and with sufficient detail directsupporting engineering staff
• Demonstrates anunderstanding of budgeting and supporting requirements for project/ bids
• Excellent communication skills and theability to liaise directly with Clients Statutory Authorities andother 3rd parties as required
• Demonstratesownership qualities for the team quality and the timely delivery ofprojects
• Demonstrates ability to master beinga discipline specific Senior Design Engineer as defined by companyprocedures
• Experience with all type ofprojects including healthcare hospitality commercial residentialand refurbishment projects
• Demonstrates soundunderstanding of other related building designdisciplines
• Keeping all project relateddocumentation in compliance with companys systems processes andprocedures.
• Anticipates challenges and projectrisks and recommends necessary mitigating measures and wherenecessary relates these internally to Commercial Team andexternally to Client/Client Representatives
• RCDD or certification is preferred but notessential.
• Demonstrated proficiency inspecification writing in CSI Master Format.
• Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination through design andthe construction process. Familiarity with permitting and Authorityrequirements.
• Familiarity with InternationalBuilding Codes and Standards ELV regulations BICSI EIA/TIAstandards
• Expected to have full knowledge andexpertise in Designing Information and communications technology(ICT) systems Audio visual (AV) system security system(Closedcircuit television (CCTV) Access control) fire alarm andemergency voice evacuation system public address &background music building management systems etc as applicable tomodern buildings.
• Good understanding of ICTpassive systems including Fiber optic and Cu cabling IDF/ODFcabinets and active systems such as storage switches firewalls andservers etc.
• Understanding of ExternalSitewide Security design selection of cameras Field equipmentCommand and Control room.
• Indepth and strongunderstanding of various GCC countries AuthorityGuidelines
• Communicates and coordinates withall Disciplines and Stakeholders on a daily basis and when requiredthe ability to coordinate with teams across other Companys Globaloffices.
