Job Purpose:
Plastic surgery includes the repair or reconstruction or replacement of physical defects involving skin, musculoskeletal system, cranio-maxillofacial structures, extremities, breast, trunk, and external genitalia or the cosmetic enhancement to these areas of the body.
The plastic surgeon uses cosmetic surgical procedures both to improve overall appearance and to optimize the outcome of reconstructive procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform consultations with patients who suffer from birth defects, injuries, burn wounds, or those who want to enhance their physical appearance.
- Evaluate patients and review basic information on medical history, allergies, and lifestyle.
- Prepare patients for surgical and nonsurgical procedures.
- Schedule followup to remove stitches, inspect incisions, and provide aftercare advice to boost patient's healing process.
- Prescribe medication, as needed, like antibiotics and painkillers.
- Monitor the effectiveness of treatments during followup visits.
- Provide surgical assistance and consultation to medical doctors and general practitioners.
- Attend plastic surgery conferences and seminars to learn about new medical techniques and topics.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD).
- Must have completed residency training, specializing in Plastic Surgery.
- Training in Microsurgery, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery.
- Proficiency with X-Rays, MRIs, and ultrasound scanning.

AED80, AED100,000.00 per month
