Job Summary:


As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the Gulf Court Hotel highest standard and delivered on time.

Working under the supervision of the Sous Chef, you will lead and manage a team of Cooks and Commis Chefs within your section, ensuring efficient operation and maintaining consistency in food quality.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff within your section, including Commis Chefs and apprentices.
  • Ensure that all food items are prepared and presented in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies for your section.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in your section of the kitchen, including equipment and work surfaces.
  • Collaborate with other members of the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation of the entire kitchen.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, including suggesting new dishes and recipes.
  • Handle any issues or concerns that arise within your section, escalating to higher management as necessary.

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role in a professional kitchen environment in a reputed hotel chain.
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Leadership abilities with the capacity to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene.
  • Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary school is preferred, but not always required depending on experience.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
