    Job Purpose

The Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) division empowers strategic decision-making through advanced data capabilities. Within ED&A, the Business Intelligence Centre of Excellence (BI CoE) drives enterprise-wide analytics maturity, enabling actionable insights and self-service analytics. This function is central to unlocking business value and improving profitability through data-driven transformation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop a Framework for Data-Driven Decision Making: Enable the strategic use of data in the enterprise and deliver the role that prioritises analytics across the Emirates Group to effect the full exploitation of data and analytics for monetary gain.
    • Define Roles and Mechanisms: Deliver a central function which provides analytical leadership, knowledge and insights to lines of business, cross-functional collaboration and enhanced decision quality and timeliness.
    • Implement Framework and Mechanisms: Translate enterprise information and analytics programmes into structured, achievable and measurable portfolios, as well as the associated reporting mechanisms, engagement protocols and ROI/business value metrics.
    • Deliver Best-in-Class Analytics Function: Implement the framework for a best in class analytics function for the Enterprise that delivers the Enterprise Performance Management Framework in alignment with governed standardisation of analytics and information quality.
    • Create Federated Information and Analytics Community: Engage with leaders and community members throughout the business to build alignment across analytics, governance, data stewardship, product ownership and agile methodologies within these communities.
    • Develop Roadmap for Transformation Activities: Deliver the information driven business, through the creation of a portfolio of educational assets and change programmes with outcomes able to be measured in qualitative and quantitative metrics.
    • Create Overarching Structure: Define the roles, responsibilities and governing mechanisms to deliver the information and analytics initiatives funded through the Enterprise agile delivery model.
    • Plan and Execute Strategic Delivery: Deliver education, communication and community programmes that deliver structured, continuous learning programmes to the business community which are tailored to stakeholders at an enterprise, executive, functional and individual level.
    • Lead Transition to Business Agile Framework: Eradicate existing inefficiencies resulting from IT and business demarcation, define and oversee the implementation of support structures for business and agile teams in developing, planning and implementing portfolios.
    • Create Culture of Innovation and Collaboration: Promote analytic usage and skills among management and employees through change programmes that include training and mentoring in analytical skills and the adoption of analytics tools.

    Requirements:

    • Masters Degree: 12+ years of international experience in various quantitative disciplines including Strategic Planning, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Sales & Marketing, preferably in the airline industry.
    • Experience: Practical experience in information management, business intelligence, analytics and multidimensional reporting, managed and effected transformational change in a large organisation, operated successfully in a team environment and in a cross-cultural, multi-regional setting.
    • Skills: Exceptional commercial acumen and strong business quantitative skills, demonstrated empowering leadership qualities, strong delegation, feedback and coaching skills, leading by example and championing of organisational strategies and goals.
    • Liaising Skills: Strong influencing skills particularly 'storytelling with data' ability to effectively liaise at all levels.
