Junior Photographer

Reporting to:
eCommerce Manager


OVERALL

The Junior Photographer is responsible for managing the eCommerce imagery including product photoshoots (both seasonal and non-seasonal) and videos, and creative content shoots which include lifestyle, mood shots, brand and social media photography that will be used across digital marketing platforms.

The Junior Photographer will ensure that the branding guidelines are met in all aspects of product and photography.

This includes managing shooting schedules, creating new styles and shooting techniques, coordinating with Procurement for products and Warehouse for preparation of products, uploading and managing all imagery to the website and image libraries, among other things.


He/She should be in constant communication with the eCommerce Manager as well as with our Content Creator with regard to content creation and campaigns.


JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shoot high quality product shots and video for use across digital marketing
/eCommerce platforms, consistent with the product photography and branding guidelines

  • Manage all preproduction administration that includes preparing product list, budget, props to use, etc.
  • Develop and implement a process with internal teams to ensure a streamlined product photography process for new items
  • Manage the styling and shooting of products, consistent with the product photography and branding guidelines
  • Ensure that post
- production compliances are met

  • Prepare visual references and secure approvals from Management before execution
  • Edit images accordingly ensuring guidelines are being followed and colour consistency between images
  • Communicate product quality and damage issues to respective departments, if any after photoshoot
  • Maintain an awareness and responsibility for the products while in use
  • Maintain and upkeep the setup, equipment, props and supplies
  • Assist with the upload of photographs to the online library
  • Assist with the organisation of uploaded images and provide progress reports, ensuring they are maintained regularly
  • Maintain and monitor all product images used on the website, ensuring that they remain visually appealing and of high standard
  • Research current styles, online trends and best practices within product photography for development and growth of the current eCommerce platform, keeping track with our competition

MUST HAVE'S:


  • At least 2 years in eCommerce environment with product and still life photography experience
  • An eye for detail, luxury and sophisticated decor
  • Experience with shooting furniture/ home accessories
  • At least 2 years in creating, producing video content in a retail environment
  • Ability to Manage budget
  • Ability to deal with a stakeholder
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
