The job description includes the following:

Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications: Pharmacy assistants work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists and help them prepare and dispense medications to patients.

Manage inventory and stock:
Pharmacy assistants keep track of medication inventory and ensure that the pharmacy is adequately stocked. They also place orders for medications when supplies are low.

Handle customer inquiries:
Pharmacy assistants interact with customers and answer their questions about medications, dosages, and potential side effects. They also provide guidance on over-the-counter medications and health-related products.

Maintain pharmacy records:
Pharmacy assistants keep detailed records of medication orders and transactions, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Assist in managing medication safety:

Pharmacy assistants assist pharmacists in ensuring the safety and efficacy of medications by checking for potential drug interactions, contraindications, and other safety concerns.

Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and organization:

Pharmacy assistants help maintain a clean and organized workspace by keeping the pharmacy shelves tidy and ensuring that medications are stored correctly.

Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines: Pharmacy assistants are expected to adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines related to dispensing medications and protecting patient confidentiality.
