The role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Legal Counsel to join our Middle East Legal Team, based in Dubai.
As a Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing laws, rulings, contracts, and regulations to effectively address legal concerns and safeguard the interests of our company.
Your responsibilities will include staying abreast of changes in local laws and regulations in the Middle East, ensuring our organization remains compliant and well-informed.
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to provide timely and strategic legal guidance, as well as your contributions to facilitating sound and lawful business decisions.
Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, Middle East, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, offering valuable insights and recommendations to support our business objectives.
Collaboration will be at the core of your responsibilities, as you engage with our broader Legal Team and forge strong relationships with key stakeholders across various commercial departments.

This role will mainly include contribution to the following:
Working in a highly collaborative environmentNavigating complexity and supporting consistent transformation and changeConnecting the dots on problemsEmpower and counsel Company leadership and stakeholders by analyzing legal risks and balancing said risks with the Company's business interests.
Continuously stay updated on rapidly evolving laws affecting the Company's business, including, by example, in the areas of technology, data privacy, employment, and general commercial matters.
What you will bring:
At least 2-years PQE as a qualified Lawyer in any jurisdictions. Any significant international experience would be beneficial.
Good command of English and Arabic; Ability to read and write Arabic would be advantageous.
Substantial regulatory or commercial law experience ideally in an in-house environment but well-respected private practice experience will also be relevantAbility to assess and manage risk (strong competence in spotting legal, business and operational issues) and to deliver pragmatic approaches and solutions to the business (not just advice)
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to simplify and articulate matters logically and to manage stakeholders effectively,Highly responsive and strong team player as well as having ability to work independently, think critically as well as creatively and manage multiple tasks concurrently, to prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding work environmentAble to handle complex matters, with multiple simultaneous initiatives / a high volume of work that require discretion, confidentiality, prioritization and independence You are energised by:
