Description

Review and sign out technical assay patientresults with the highest possible accuracy and quality. -Collaborate with the other Laboratory Directors and LaboratoryStaff to ensure timely and accurate result reporting. - Ensurealong with the Laboratory Management Team, that the qualityactivities of the laboratory are maintained.

- Ensure applicationof a comprehensive quality management program - Monitor andevaluate key indicators of the quality of the analytical testingprocess.

- Ensure compliance with CAP standards. - Monitor assayhealth and trouble-shoot assays that require quality improvement. -Provide clinical and technical expertise in support of newinitiatives relevant to clinical and moleculartesting.

Requirements

MinimumQualification - PhD in biological sciences or clinical laboratoryscience from an accredited institution and certification by theAmerican Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics.

- Education,training and experience required by CLIA (Clinical LaboratoryImprovement Amendments) to direct a high complexity laboratory. -Experience with College of American Pathology (CAP) accreditationrequirements and good medical practice. PreferredQualification< - Experience working as a Clinical LaboratoryDirector.
