Secondary Food and Nutrition Teacher


Kings' School Al Barsha is seeking a Secondary Food and Nutrition teacher to join our rapidly expanding school from August 2024.

The department is established as a central part of school life and has quickly gained a reputation for academic excellence, with parents and students alike viewing Food and Nutrition as a desirable university choice and career pathway.


Supporting pupils as they work towards their GCSE and A Level exams, you will play a vital role in their ever-evolving learning journey.

Requirements and Experience:


Essential:


  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree relevant to the teaching Subject or equivalent
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience of teaching GCSE and A Level
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience, though new teachers who are aspiring to be outstanding will be considered
  • Able to teach consistently inspirational lessons and a track record of delivering outstanding results
  • A highly collaborative nature and strong communication skills
  • Evidence of commitment to recent professional development relevant to this role
  • Ideas that will help to further the high profile of the department within the school
  • ICT skills that reflect the impact of technology in today's classrooms
  • A commitment to the extracurricular programme
  • Commitment to the wellbeing and pastoral care of all students within their care
  • Innovative, creative and positive mindset

Desirable:


  • Experience of working overseas or with international students
  • A verified passport copy
  • Three satisfactory references
  • Attestation of qualification certificates
  • DBS/Police checks
