    Leasing Curator Jobs in Fujairah 2022 | Midtown GalleryJob DescriptionIn addition to providing support to researchers through electronic means and in the reading room, the Curator is responsible for producing manuscript collections, University record groups, and born-digital assets.

    An Archives and Special Collections (ASC) department and library policy maker, this individual serves as a resource and advisor to the ASC staff and the organization as a whole.

    People in this position are expected to represent the library at public events, and they will be involved in outreach efforts.


    Qualifications:
    Engage in proactive collaborations with other municipal agencies, outside service providers and educational institutions.
    Negotiates repository agreements and deeds of donation on behalf of the institution. Assesses and evaluates gifts and purchases, manages loan agreements, and ensures that regulations and procedures are followed.

    The history of computers, including its design, technological advances, cultural impact, and historical significance should be studied independently and published in peer-reviewed studies.

    Support the museum system's volunteer program by aiding with recruiting efforts, putting volunteers in suitable roles, and ensuring volunteers are appropriately educated.

    Manages large-scale, cross-border exhibition and publishing initiatives; conducts research; coordinates exhibition and loan activities; guarantees that projects are of the greatest quality and are completed on time and within budget.

    All parts of daily collection management activities are handled by this person. For the acquisition, preservation and restoration of resources such as antiquities, photographs, and documents the museum's curator is responsible.

    Contribute to ensuring that the museum system continues to strive for diversity, equality, accessibility, and inclusion in its programs, staff, and public interactions by meeting the cognitive, physical, and social/emotional requirements of a varied audience.

    Phone, email, or face-to-face contact may be made with this firm. Initiates and discusses the process of conducting basic reference interviews to students. This individual is on time, accurate, and thorough. Records are kept of all interactions between parties in accordance with departmental policy.

    Maintains a current awareness of modern historical literature and interpretative best practices, is aware of cutting-edge research and new historical arguments, and finds ways to incorporate current historical knowledge into programming.

    Participating in the long-term creation and preservation of collections and related information.


    Skills:
    A four-year degree in museum work or a related field is necessary to get four years of work experience.
    Digital collections, finding aids, and other parts of archive description need the ability to produce metadata.
