Description
Apt Resources is currently seeking a Cost Controller/Accountant to join the team of our client, a leading shipbuilding company.

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing costs and financial performance, as well as implementing cost control measures to ensure the company's profitability.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to monitor project budgets, track costs, and provide accurate financial reports.


Responsibilities:


  • Analyze project costs and implement cost control measures to optimize project profitability
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, providing regular updates on budget variances
  • Track project costs, ensuring accurate and timely recording of expenses
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to forecast project costs and identify potential cost overruns
  • Generate financial reports and dashboards to provide insights into project financial performance
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with cost control procedures
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely recording of project costs in the general ledger

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cost Controller, Accountant, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of cost control principles and techniques
  • Experience working in the shipbuilding or maritime industry is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP or similar
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams

Benefits:

Salaries between AED 8K to 12K all in plus UAE Labour Law benefits.
