As a Director of Engineering, you will lead multiple cross-functional teams, driving the development of world-class consumer applications, optimizing engineering performance, and scaling the company's technical capabilities to new heights.

    Responsibilities:


    As the Director of Engineering, your key responsibilities will include:

    Driving Engineering Excellence

    • Overseeing 5-6 cross-functional development teams, ensuring high-quality product delivery.
    • Establishing and tracking engineering performance metrics to drive efficiency and accountability.
    • Ensuring technical standards, including code quality, security, and managing technical debt.

    Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Execution

    • Aligning engineering goals with business strategy, collaborating with C-suite executives and stakeholders.
    • Leading roadmap planning and execution, continuously improving development processes to prioritize customer needs.
    • Partnering with Product and Data teams to make data-driven technology decisions.

    Scaling & Structuring High-Impact Teams

    • Hiring, structuring, and scaling engineering teams across global tech hubs.
    • Mentoring and coaching engineering leaders, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
    • Leading recruitment, onboarding, and team expansion to support rapid business growth.

    Technology Innovation & Consumer Experience

    • Spearheading technical transformations, including digital migration and innovation strategies.
    • Optimizing the development of consumer-facing applications (e-commerce, marketplaces, ordering systems).
    • Collaborating with operations teams to enhance brick-and-mortar technology solutions.

    Requirements:


    To excel in this role, you should have:

    Strong leadership experience in engineering, managing high-performing technical teams.
    Expertise in consumer-facing applications, including marketplaces, ordering systems, and e-commerce.
    Experience leading engineering in hybrid tech & operations environments (e.g., food, logistics, or retail).
    Proven success scaling teams in startups, scaleups, and large enterprises.
    Strong knowledge of technical strategy implementation, including digital transformation and migrations.
    Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    Passion for mentorship, leadership, and fostering high-performance engineering cultures.
