    Description

    We are currently seeking an experienced QA/QC Mechanical Engineer to ensure the mechanical systems and components in our building projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Quality Assurance:
      • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance plans specific to mechanical systems in building construction.
      • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to establish and communicate quality standards.
    2. Quality Control:
      • Conduct inspections of mechanical installations, equipment, and systems to ensure compliance with building codes and project specifications.
      • Monitor and evaluate the performance of mechanical contractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and design specifications.
    3. Testing and Commissioning:
      • Oversee and participate in mechanical testing and commissioning activities.
      • Ensure that all mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, are functioning according to design requirements and performance criteria.
    4. Documentation:
      • Maintain comprehensive records of all QA/QC activities, including inspections, tests, and approvals.
      • Prepare and submit detailed quality reports outlining findings, deviations, and recommended corrective actions.
    5. Collaboration:
      • Work closely with the project team to address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
      • Collaborate with mechanical designers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
    6. Training:
      • Conduct training sessions for project teams and subcontractors on QA/QC procedures and standards related to mechanical work.
      • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • 7 years of experience in QA/QC for mechanical systems in building construction.
    • In-depth knowledge of local building codes, mechanical standards, and regulations.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Professional certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer - CQE).
    • Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) and other relevant software.
    • Experience with LEED or other green building certifications.
    • Knowledge of safety protocols and standards related to mechanical work in construction.
