Description

• Provide an in-house mechanicaldesign and manufacturing/prototype capability to support thepropulsion development programs of the Air PowerDepartment
• Put together a team of techniciansthat will service a range of tasks from brazing, soldering,operating a high speed balancing machine, operate and maintainenvironmental chambers, perform fitment of bearings and shafts,design, assemble and work with custom tools andjigs.
• Undertake design and support workthroughout the life-cycle of the system under development, for allphases of conceptual design, preliminary design, detail design anddevelopment, manufacture, production, end-use support andphase-out/disposal
• Perform precise engineeringcalculations using theoretical methods as well as computationalsimulations
  

ProjectManagement:

• Work with suppliers toproduce high precision and quality designed and manufacturedcomponents within the schedule of theproject.
• Organization of engineeringarrangements to meet the objectives of thedepartment.
