    As the Manager Facilities Planning & Delivery Support you will be responsible for planning, deploying and executing the facilities improvement plan for dnata UAE Airport Operations (DXB and DWC locations) through leadership of the facilities planning team. You will be accountable for maintaining relationships and leading complex negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and external stakeholders, to represent the interests of dnata Airport Operations and ensure the Group strategic objectives are embedded. You are also accountable for the management and delivery of associated operational support systems including device management, distribution centres and uniform inventory.

    In this role, you will:

    • Ensure effective management and oversight of the existing facilities footprint, ensure mandatory internationally recognised standards are being observed and maintained, identify areas of concern through audits to take corrective and preventive action.
    • Interact with key internal and external stakeholders to develop a future-focused facilities plan spanning Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central Airport (DWC).
    • Deploy an internal framework to benchmark and conduct feasibility analysis of all new projects and comply with scope related to budget, resources, timelines, and contractual agreements.
    • Manage multiple high value and complex projects simultaneously by tracking performance of specialised contractors handling the projects. Review the project plan regularly and revise as the timescales and requirements of the project change throughout the project life cycle. Ensure timely management of project decisions, issues, and risks.
    • Directly accountable for dnata Airport Operations facilities operating budget, forecasting future requirements, planning, and reporting on the budget in alignment with Group standards.
    • Act on behalf of UAE AO as the key liaison with Group Procurement and Logistics to finalise contracts with external suppliers for items including communication devices, transportation, and facility maintenance.
    • Primary point of contact on all supplier relationships, coordinating end-to-end contracting process, as well as the ongoing supplier and contract management activities.
    • Lead on all contract agreement negotiations or amendments with vendors (Dubai Airports and external suppliers) to achieve optimum value for investment.
    • Establish and maintain a performance management framework for external vendors and suppliers, resolve service failure and actively appraise new contractors and suppliers to ensure optimal service.
    • Ensure an effective and efficient service delivery through management of the Airport Operations Distribution Centre (AODC).
    • Identify the communication device needs of the business and evaluate requirements on a regular basis, leading on a strategic plan as well as ensuring comprehensive maintenance, inventory, licensing and repair plans are in place.
    • Represent the interests of dnata Airport Operations on the Uniform Committee.
    • Oversee and coordinate all environment and sustainability focused initiatives for UAE AO in close alignment with HQ.
    • Provide leadership to the department through establishment of an appropriate organisational structure, assignment of tasks and resources to meet service standards, monitoring performance and development, and maintaining succession plans for key roles.

    To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience in facilities management positions, including responsibility for leading commercial negotiations.
    • At least 5 years of experience leading teams in a large, multi-site organisation (aviation / airports or related industries preferred)
    • Advanced level negotiation skills.
    • Current working knowledge of UAE regulatory framework relevant to facilities management, and integration with Quality Management Systems.
    • Competent in project management implementation, including budgeting and cost control knowledge.
    • Knowledgeable in application of environmental frameworks and sustainability practice relevant to facilities management.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with powerful ability to persuade and influence people, internally and externally, at all levels.
