    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
    Act as a senior level advisor and ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World's Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policiesProvide strategic advice and tactical communications leadership to DP World's core Business Units and their respective leadership teams (Group COOs)Manage a team of communications managers, aligned to each of DP World's three core Business UnitsManage external agency teams – specifically the global communications agency team who will provide operational supportDrive and shape the continuous development of the master narrative and key messages relating to DP World's vision and business activitiesAchieve extensive global positive media coverage for DP World's activitiesManage, as required, issues and crisis responses at a group level


    JOB CONTEXT:


    The Group SVP Business Communications will lead a team of communications professionals aligned to each of DP World's core Business Units at Group level (Ports & Terminals, Marine Services and Digital Logistics & Technology).

    The role holder will report to the Chief Communications Officer and act as the primary communications lead for each of the three Group COOs, supporting their communications requirements in activities such as:
    tier 1 media activity, executive positioning, event speaking, crisis & issues management.

    The role holder will be responsible for setting the master messaging narrative and story telling approach for each BU, with the support of a Communications Manager for each BU, as well as Marcomms Campaign manager.

    The role holder will act as the primary conduit between the Group COOs and the Group Communications team, an effective "business partner" role, ensuring each of the Communications disciplines Heads (e.g. Media relations, Internal communications) etc, is adequately briefed and brought in to relevant activities to maximise reach and engagement across appropriate channels.

    The role holder will also play a critical role in aligning with regional communications teams on media relations activities around key stories, announcements and broader communications activities pertinent to their regions as they relate to each BU.


    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
    Bachelor's Degree required.15-20 years communications and / or marketing experience.
    Solid experience in developing and leading strategic integrated communication programmes, meeting expectations and deadlines within budgetary guidelines.
    Strategic thinker with strong leadership skills; experience managing, inspiring, motivating and coaching teams.
    Track record in integrating and aligning communications and business strategies.
    Strong analytical, planning, attention to detail, and prioritising skills.
    A creative and innovative professional communicator able to inspire and support communications across a global organisation.

    Ability to achieve results through teams and to exert influenceFast and capable with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a commitment to quality; ability to prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines.

    Excellent interpersonal skills, proven networking and relationship-building, and the ability to interact with confidence with various levels and functions.
    Culturally experienced and sensitive to working collaboratively with many different cultures and at different levels.
    Excellent written and verbal English language skills. Regional communications experience a plus. Additional languages a plus.
