We are looking for applicants who want tobecome AI experts with a focus on natural language processing ingeneral, and of the Arabic language specifically.

The applicantswill work on a specific project under the direction of Prof.
Habash; and in collaboration with other lab members (at thebeginning).

The work will include analysis of the problem we aresolving, reading up on related literature, designing computationalsolutions, implementing and validating solutions, writing techreports and papers in conferences about the work done, andattending conferences to present saidwork.

EssentialQualifications

The applicantsmust come with strong computer programming skills (BS in ComputerScience, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is ideal).Proficient programming skills in Python, Javascript, and any otherprogramming languages.

They need to speak, read and write Englishvery well. Their Arabic should be native and very proficient. Theapplicant must be a team player; must be committed to the successof the project. Strong interest in languages in general isexpected. Knowing multiple languages besides Arabic and English isa plus.
