About the Job:

Reporting to the Management, the Crude Oil Trading Operations Manager will take on a wide range of responsibilities, including the following:


Responsibilities:

• Coordinate cargo operations from trade inception to completion (cargo operations cycle)
• Work closely with traders, refinery schedulers, shipping, credit, settlement, demurrage etc. once deals are concluded.
• Work independently in handling varied operational issues
• Liaise with counterparts in other oil companies regarding documents and requirements for cargoes
• Ensure all operational aspects of contracts are adhered to.
• Issue voyage orders to shipping/counterparties and monitor progress of vessel, informing trading of any changes in a timely manner.
• Appoint inspectors for quality and quantity. Check with traders whether expeditors required, specifically DES deals and/or high pour grades or high API grades.
• Notify traders of losses and follow up with insurers and counterparties for any claims.
• Liaise with credit department if letters of credit are required and ensure cargo loading and discharging adhere to any credit or L/C requirements.
• Update ETRM systems accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of each cargo including prompt and accurate filing.
• Maintain contracts for back to back crude cargoes.
• Remain open to the managing, training and development of future Operators in the team as and when the team grows.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures

Person Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering/Mathematics/Finance or equivalent
• Proven relevant experience in operating of crude oil or products of at least 35 Years
• Understanding of industry standards and their commercial impact, as well as market trends/drivers, competitor markets, terminals, logistics and refinery operations in area of responsibility
• Careful about details, thorough in completing work tasks, ability to discern discrepancies in data and reports
• Facilitating analysis and resolution of multiple problems with critical timelines and multiple teams.
• Required to handle multiple complex and challenging operational issues.

Salary:
AED20, AED25,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
