Job Description

 The steel thicknesses for inspection range between 12mm up to 70mm, although most fall in the 12mm to 35 mm range.  The work will relate to inspection of the structural steel and not to the pipework within the tank.

• Plate thickness ranges from 12 mm to 38 mm, however some lift points are up to 70 mm thick.
• Welds requiring inspecting include full penetration, part penetration, fillet welds:
• Plate butt joints.
• T-joints.
• Cruciform joints.
• Pipe to tank insert circumferential joints.
• Pile sleeve 40mm & lifting pad eye 70mm plate butt circumference joint.
• Mud mat 50mm with pile sleeve 40mm circular T-joint.
• Tank skin 32mm & lifting point 70mm circular T-joint.

Qualifications

PAUT PCN (Level II)  with min 5yrs experience.
