- Providing surgical patients withperioperative care in recovery, procedure, and operatingrooms.
- Stocking operating rooms with sterilesurgical equipment, linens, andsupplies.
- Developing and implementing nursingcare plans for surgical patients.
- Preparingpatients for surgery by cleaning and disinfecting areas to beoperated on.
- Assisting surgeons during surgicalprocedures.
- Applying sterile techniques inhandling medical instruments and equipment pre-, during, andpost-surgery.
- Collaborating with surgical teamsand other medical professionals on patient medication andpost-surgery care.
- Updating patient files andmedical records.
- Assisting with the ordering,maintenance, and safe storage of surgical equipment andsupplies.
- Providing patients with post-surgerycare instructions and answeringquestions.
