As a Retail Sales Associate specializing in sports, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales within our sports retail environment.

You will be responsible for assisting customers in finding the right sports equipment, apparel, and accessories to meet their needs.

Your passion for sports and knowledge of related products will be instrumental in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

Customer Assistance: Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers by understanding their needs, recommending products, and offering product demonstrations.

Sales Generation: Actively engage with customers to drive sales and meet or exceed sales targets. Utilize upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities.

Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest sports equipment, apparel, and accessories trends, features, and technologies. Share this knowledge with customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions.

Inventory Management: Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise on the sales floor. Monitor inventory levels and notify management of any discrepancies or low stock items.

Visual Merchandising: Maintain visual standards by ensuring products are displayed attractively and in accordance with company guidelines. Participate in seasonal and promotional displays as directed.

• Sale Operations: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.

Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods securely.

Customer Service Excellence: Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Strive to resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction while adhering to company policies.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and maintain a positive working environment. Support fellow associates during busy periods and assist with tasks as needed.

Loss Prevention: Help prevent loss and theft by monitoring store premises, adhering to security procedures, and reporting any suspicious activity to management.

Adherence to Policies: Follow company policies and procedures regarding store operations, safety regulations, and customer service standards.


Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a sports or athletic apparel environment.
• Passion for sports and knowledge of various sports equipment, apparel, and accessories.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in using pointofsale systems.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy items regularly.
