1. JOBPURPOSE:
Toassist Instrumentation engineer for all Electrical &instrumentation functions for gas distribution pipelines andpressure reduction stations in Company. Tomanage the development of scope of work of all E&I Controlactivities ensuring that latest approved technologies are appliedand compliance with applicable international standards. To providethe full range of on and off-site duties includinginspections, trouble shooting, maintenance, observations, andreporting. To develop and maintain the required E&I Controlprocess and procedures in line with best industry practices andbased on approved applicablestandards.
Indepth knowledge of E&I, F&G and SCADA systemsincorporated in major project of similar nature is essential. Musthave the capability to supervise and manage trouble shooting andmaintenance of E&I systems. Familiarity with subsystemssuch as fire and gas, emergency shut down systems etc., and AdvanceProcess Controls will be added qualification.
2.KEYACCOUNTABILITIES:
JobSpecificAccountabilities
Directlysupervise/ carryout routine preventive maintenance forinstrumentation and electrical systems for gas distributionstations.
Maintenance andtroubleshooting of Fire and gas Detection and Inergen firesuppression system
Assistmaintenance and validation of Fiscal gas metering systems and Flowcomputer
Maintenance andtroubleshooting of Instrument, loop checking forinstrumentation and control system including Motor operated remotevalves.
Maintenance andtroubleshooting of UPS, Batteries,Chargers.
Maintenance andtroubleshooting of pressure reductionskids
Installing,commissioning and maintenance of critical Instruments like Smoke,Heat Detectors, Sounders, Beacons, Manual call points (MCP)& Fire controlpanels.
Maintenance andtroubleshooting of VESDA panels and
PeriodicCalibration and Troubleshooting of gas Detectors like H2S, Toxic,Hydrocarbon. Carrying out preventive, corrective and break downmaintenance of local control panel (Tyco and simplex Panel) whichincludes all fieldinstrumentation.
Carries outtheir duties in accordance with specifications and Company policiesandregulations.
Carries outstock check and utilization of spare parts and maintenancematerials and plans an inventory to bemaintained.
Monitorscalibration of all instruments and gauges as per maintenanceschedule.
Participates inEmergency and Incident standby ROTA and participates in accidentinvestigation whenrequired.
Assists innon-routine live gas operations and provide support duringemergency responsesituations
Ensure that allpreformed activities under this role are in compliance withapplicable HSE policies and procedures at alltimes.
Assists in thepreparation and development of scope of work for tender packagesand technical evaluation of contractors and submittedtenders.
Prepares workorders and fully conversant with in CMMS (SAP/ Oracle/ Maximo-EAM)system.
Requirements
MinimumQualification
Diplomain engineering in Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Control System froman accredited university.
MinimumExperience & Knowledge &Skills
7years of minimum experience in gas industry with minimum 5 years inmaintenance and troubleshooting of Fire and gas Detection andInergen fire suppression system and pressure reducing skid.Experience in Fiscal gas metering validation would be anadvantage.
Workingknowledge of MS Office, CMMS systems (SAP/ OracleEAM).
PCliteracy with good working knowledge of the latest officesoftware
Goodknowledge of English language with Good oral and writtencommunication skills.
ValidUAE driving license will be a positiveadvantage.
ProfessionalCertifications &Trainings
IndustrialAutomation Training in SCADA, PLCsystems
Professionalcertification in gas engineering and/ or instrumentation fromaccredited certification body is anadvantage.
Minimum Qualification Diploma in engineering in Electronics/Instrumentation/ Control System from an accredited university.Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills 7 years of minimumexperience in gas industry with minimum 5 years in maintenance andtroubleshooting of Fire and gas Detection and Inergen firesuppression system and pressure reducing skid. Experience in Fiscalgas metering validation would be an advantage. Working knowledge ofMS Office, CMMS systems (SAP/ Oracle EAM). PC literacy with goodworking knowledge of the latest office software Good knowledge ofEnglish language with Good oral and written communication skills.Valid UAE driving license will be a positive advantage.Professional Certifications & Trainings Industrial AutomationTraining in SCADA, PLC systems Professional certification in gasengineering and/ or instrumentation from accredited certificationbody is an advantage.
