    Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Lead to join our team.

    The Procurement Lead will be responsible for leading and optimizing our procurement processes, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

    This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with various departments to meet the organization's procurement needs.


    Responsibilities:

    • Managing multiple categories within the business, Reporting on the Procurement Plan and Managing team of procurement specialists.
    • Running and managing RFQs/RFPs to ensure fulfilment of the Procurement Plan and the category strategy.
    • Act as a procurement lead on assigned strategic project which could include Technology projects, Merger Projects, special assignments.
    • Planning the procurement of school requirements to ensure timely delivery along with compliance of purchasing activities with corporate governance.
    • Compilation and preparation of reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Ability to develop dashboards would be an added asset.
    • Excellent knowledge of ERP systems is a must.
    • Negotiate purchasing contracts and agreements with service and component suppliers.
    • Keep track of industry pricing trends
    • Implement and enforce purchasing processes and inventory control.
    • Monitor contracts/agreements to ensure compliance with terms and conditions and determine any need for changes.
    • Maintain and review records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
    • Review orders for the bill of materials for projects and advice of potential savings to PM
    • Track and expedite orders and investigate order problems as required.
    • Maintain serial number tracker by the project.
    • Maintain all purchasing records and documents and work with accounting to resolve invoice discrepancies.
    • Manage the start-up process for new suppliers.
    • Understands project scope, scheduling, priority milestones, and coordination procedures.
    • Manages procurement POs, supply agreements, and delivery schedules Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
    • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a track record of successful vendor negotiations.
    • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, regulations, and market trends.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
    • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and lead a procurement team.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Commitment to ethical procurement practices
