- Managing multiple categories within the business, Reporting on the Procurement Plan and Managing team of procurement specialists.
- Running and managing RFQs/RFPs to ensure fulfilment of the Procurement Plan and the category strategy.
- Act as a procurement lead on assigned strategic project which could include Technology projects, Merger Projects, special assignments.
- Planning the procurement of school requirements to ensure timely delivery along with compliance of purchasing activities with corporate governance.
- Compilation and preparation of reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Ability to develop dashboards would be an added asset.
- Excellent knowledge of ERP systems is a must.
- Negotiate purchasing contracts and agreements with service and component suppliers.
- Keep track of industry pricing trends
- Implement and enforce purchasing processes and inventory control.
- Monitor contracts/agreements to ensure compliance with terms and conditions and determine any need for changes.
- Maintain and review records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
- Review orders for the bill of materials for projects and advice of potential savings to PM
- Track and expedite orders and investigate order problems as required.
- Maintain serial number tracker by the project.
- Maintain all purchasing records and documents and work with accounting to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Manage the start-up process for new suppliers.
- Understands project scope, scheduling, priority milestones, and coordination procedures.
- Manages procurement POs, supply agreements, and delivery schedules Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a track record of successful vendor negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, regulations, and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead a procurement team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
