    Description
    • Oversee day-to-day HSE activitiesin accordance with designated areas ofresponsibility.
    • Assist in the development ofoperational control procedures as required implementing robust HSEManagement system on a project.
    • Ensureimplementation of HSE initiatives and programs consistent with HSEplans, legislative requirements and best practice in theirdesignated areas of responsibility.
    • Lead a teamof HSE advisors for the area allocated and ensure effective HSEsupport for the project activities (Construction and Commissioning)in their area of responsibility.
    • Ensure toimplement Petrofac HSE initiatives on theproject.
    • Coordinate with Construction/Commissioning teams and ensure Project HSE Plans are implementedeffectively.
    • Conduct HSE Audits, Inspections intheir allocated areas.
    • Ensure Life Saving Rulesare communicated and implemented.
    • Ensureeffective communication is provided (Tool box talks, Safety Alertsetc.,) in their respective areas.
    • Mentor LineManagement and Supervision on HSEProgrammes.
    • Assist/ provide support to ensureeffective implementation Sub-contractor management and HSE trainingprogram on the project.
    • Participate in HSEworkshops and Task Based Risk Assessments for project activities.Ensure that Task based risk assessments/ JSA's aredeveloped for all the activities and control measures areimplemented to reduce the risk to ALARP.
    • Ensureeffective implementation of Permit to Work/ Safe System work intheir respective areas.
    • Maintain a dailyworking relationship with Project HSE team, line management andsubcontractors in relation of their respective compliance with theprovisions of the HSE policies, HSE Plan and legalrequirements.
    • Participate in IncidentInvestigations and ensure corrective actions are closed with thetime frame.
    • Ensure that Emergency Responseteams are identified, and preparedness is testedperiodically.
    • Provide regular, reliable reportsand data for monitoring HSE performance.
    • Carryout other duties as requested by the Supervisor.

    EssentialQualifications And Skills

    • Bachelor's degree (4 years)or Diploma (3 years) in Engineering OR in relevant Science OR HSEdiscipline (from an institution of higher learning authorized togrant academic degrees in the country ofissue).
    • NEBOSH IGC or Equivalent (Subject toapproval by ADNOC Group).
    • Lead auditor ISO45001/ ISO 14001 or equivalent.
    • IncidentInvestigation techniques.
    • Minimum 8-10years' experience in HSE in construction, fabrication,installation and/or commissioning projects / operations in the oil& gas or petrochemical industries.
    • Havestrong understanding of the HSE issues, practices and behavioralaspects in the Oil & Gas EPCbusiness.
    • Able to lead a team of HSE personnelsuch as HSE officers, Hygiene officersetc.
    • Sound understanding of the HSE ManagementSystem and HSE legislativerequirements.
    • Ability to develop and implementHSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures/plans andsite specific HSE procedures / workinstructions.
    • Practical experience inimplementation of Safe System of Work (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessmentetc.).
    • Ability to conduct training/awarenesssessions on relevant HSE procedures applicable to the scope ofwork.
    • Ability to implement practical H2Scontrol measures.
    • Ability to conduct HSE auditsand inspections.
    • Ability to investigateincidents, identify immediate and rootcauses.
    • Ability to speak, read and writeEnglish with good communicationskills.
    • Effective interpersonal and verbal& written communicationskills.
