Conventional Machinist

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Crane operation of Overhead & Jib Crane.
Job Context:
To be able to select proper programme for the job to be machined.
Ability to make changes or rectifications in the machining programme as per job requirements.
Selection of proper tools and accessories for the job.
Knowledge of tool grinding when the tools get worn out.
Able to read drawings and make simple machining programmes.
Periodical inspection of the machines, by checking oil, bedplates, X, axis and Z axis screw spindles.
Reporting any abnormalities in the machine to the supervisor.
Maintaining Roll cards for tonnages rolled.
Able to carry out work in the Notch milling and Branding machines.
Housekeeping.
The role also demands high levels of attention and analytical thinking.
The role is also expected to participate on the shop floor with activities related to planned and unplanned stoppages as required.
High standards of personal safety, responsibility, attentiveness, and accountability are demanded.24/7 Shift working patterns are required.
Job-Specific Skills:
Thorough knowledge on CNC Lathe & Milling Machines,
Basic knowledge on Roll shop Operations
Good knowledge on mill automation,
Basic knowledge on computer operation.
Good knowledge of reversing heavy sections or heavy plate mills
Good command of English
Computer literate with Word Processing and Spreadsheet experience
Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves) Any preferred professional training (Nice to have)
Industrial Training Institute (High School Degree or equivalent).
CNC programming & Operation.
Hazard and Safety Awareness
Basic Roll Design and Scheduling
Report Writing
Professional Experience (Must haves) Previous Experience/exposure Recommendations (Nice to have)
3-5 years' experience.
