OB-GYN Duties AndResponsibilities

• Interview new patients to assesstheir symptoms, needs, or problems; record and utilise theirmedical history for diagnosis
• Conductfollow-ups with patients to monitor and track theircondition
• Monitor and treat patients duringpregnancy and childbirth, including prenatal advising up todelivery and postnatal care
• Order and analysenecessary tests, screenings, biopsies, scans, etc. to effectivelydiagnose a problem
• Direct, advise, andsupervise medical staff including nurses, physician assistants, medtechs etc. on proper procedures andprotocol
• Continue personal education on currentmedical practices and innovations by reading medical journals,attending conferences, etc
  

OB-GYN RequirementsAnd Qualifications

• A SpecializationDegree
• Valid license to practice instate
• 3+ years practicing medicine in ahospital or private practice
• Proficient atpatient charting and knowledgeable in relevant charting computerprograms
• Able to effectively monitor and manageother medical staff andassistants
• Compassionate and personable with anexemplary bedside manner
• Sound judgement andexpert decision-makingabilities
