    Our client is an industrial pump supplier based in the East Rand looking to recruit a hands- on Accountant with operations
    The ideal candidate will be dynamic, come from an industrial, manufacturing or trade ; Have experience with and be a key player in the business, able to collaborate with all departments within this busy

    Main purpose of the position

    Responsible for the provision and interpretation of management information, and the provision of financial expertise with the overall objective of profit

    Typical job elements are:
    • Financial performance evaluation, cash flow monitoring and the development of corporate systems and controls,
    • continued training and implementation of systems,
    • the management of assets and liabilities ensuring that key ratios as set by top management are managed and
    • Day-to-day management of junior finance staff, ensuring finance processing is completed within the stipulated time frames and ensuring policies, processes and procedures are adhered
    Key Performance Areas :
    • Overall responsibility for accounts department ensuring that processing takes place timeously to produce management reports within 6 working days of the month
    • Ensure accuracy of all books of account including, general ledger, debtors, creditors, inventory and fixed
    • Prepare budgets and forecasts when
    • Prepare weekly cash flow
    • Preparation of monthly management reporting
    • Prepare financial reporting packs for
    • Assist with both internal and external audit
    • Ensure all taxation records are accurate and returns submitted
    • Ensure that and assist with processes where stock is controlled, perpetual stock takes are conducted and stated value is
    • Ensure that all accounts payable including foreign creditors, are accurate and correctly
    • Ensure that all statutory requirements are complied
    • Manage finance team to ensure processing and reporting deadlines are
    • Preparation of foreign currency requirement forecasts
    • Responsible to ensure weekly and monthly deadlines are met timeously, which include, month ends, weekly reports, salaries and wages, assets registers, vat returns and any requirements of ;
    • Responsible to ensure financial reporting packs are completed within the required
    • All tax returns are submitted on time
    Elements of KPAs
    • Ensure all deadlines are met in conjunction with production staff accurately and within the deadline;
    • Ensure all fixed assets are reconciled and correct entries passed;
    • Ensure time keeping is accurately
    • Do all overflow accounting work required, ensuring that all areas are given quality
    • Monitor systems and take corrective
    • Ensure and enforce the principle that profit performance is paramount and that processes are in place for the early detection of adverse
    • Ensure that bankers receive accurate reports timeously


    Requirements
