Flow Assurance Engineer - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Wood

Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and, we are looking to hire a Flow Assurance Engineer to be based at our Abu Dhabi Engineering Center.

Responsibilities:

·Responsibility for the technical accuracy, quality and execution of flow assurance on Upstream Oil and Gas conceptual and FEED projects

·Technical audits of projects

·Liaising with all customers on technical matters

·Managing technical flow assurance solutions whilst maintaining the commercial objectives of the project

·Provision of flow assurance knowledge to study managers, project personnel, clients and third parties

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or relevant Science subject

· Minimum 5 years' experience in the oil and gas industry.

· Previous expertise in onshore flow assurance in FEED, Detailed engineering projects

· Familiar with two and three phase flow, pipeline modelling techniques and computer tools in both steady state, transient and dynamic mode

·Experienced in the assessment and development of operating and control strategies for start-up and shut-down

·Experienced in the steady state thermal hydraulic design of flowlines, pipelines and pipeline bundles

·Experienced in the analysis of hydrodynamic instability (slugging) and surge

·Experienced in the management of asphaltenes, wax and chemicals, pigging, scale, foaming and separation, hydrate inhibition, corrosion inhibition

·Experienced in reservoir fluid characterization and phase behaviour analysis
